You can hear the amount of work put into mastering this, but all the same synth for lead synths? I started listening to this before reading the description and could already tell that they were practically the same thing. :/ On a brighter note (yes note, I like puns) this is probably better than your Slipstream 2.0, in both the variation and the production.

That's pretty good, if a bit repetitive. The percussion doesn't sound like it changes much, besides when it completely fades out. The baseline is similar to the percussion, it doesn't change hardly at all besides that part around the middle.

thanks for the feedback my friend :) almost all my songs have repetitive melodies and basslines which is why i took a lot of time to make this, it had only around 7 channels so that is why it doesn't sound like my hardest work. but thx, we appreciate your feedback

The melodies could be a bit louder, and the percussion sounds would probably benefit from a bit of change. It also goes so fast that it gets repetitive too quickly, imo. I also think the majority of it looping 3 times is a bit much.

This sounds like it's clashing and the melodies at the start sound repeatedly off-key, they hardly sound worked-on at all. I hear mostly one beat the first half of the song, and another right after the drop. The hithat/snare (couldn't tell which) later on in the song is too loud.

Summary:The first half sounds like you focused on base and melodies, second half sounds like you focused on the drop and the chords after it, and I don't hear the kind of percussion that sounds like you actually tried to do some variation, unlike Lithium.

I did have around 8 different drum patterns, but all of them were too similar to one another to even show any real difference.
The clashing has to do with the fact that I applied the Soundgoodizer to everything, which is a huge no-no. No matter what I did with a few of the melodies, there were certain parts that didn't sound like they fit the key at all, no matter what I did with them. I couldn't find sounds that corresponded with one another well enough. I mainly focused on bass this time around, but I need to not forget the lessons I've learned in other songs; frankly, I'm unsure whether or not those things I've learned in the pasts are anything more than lucky mistakes.
I hadn't planned on giving up until I have a little bit more practice; perhaps I really should stick to what I'm good at and move on already, but I need to learn more about FL Studio and how to use it before I can do that.
I appreciate that you've stuck with my releases and carefully reviewed each and every one of my most recent ones; the constructive criticism has redirected me numerous times, and I'm finally realizing all of the different elements you have to put together to make a song that doesn't sound like trash, and it's got a LOT of depth to it. It didn't help that this song was horribly rushed because I wanted to get it out there before my life got devoured by final exams, but in retrospect, it would've been a better idea to wait.

Zyzyx beat me to almost everything here. That snare doesn't need reverb though, it needs to be quieter. Also, I feel as though that was a lazy ending.

Be careful not to mix a baseline that heavy too loud, it can hurt peoples' ears. The percussion sounds a little dry, and quiet, compared to the baseline. I like those melodies, but it feels like I'm hearing mostly the same thing throughout the song, you need to work on your variation a bit, as well as your mastering.

This is pretty good, considering I poured about 70 hours into the game itself. The baseline needs to be raised in volume a little bit, imo. You also could try using something more orchestral for the main melody, I'm sure it'd work out well.

i tried to stick with the roots of the game for all of the songs, and this one really captured the feel of battles in bis. i poured many hours into that game too, it was amazing.

Whatever you're using to play the melody at the start is a little too loud. That different part that goes from 1:36-1:50 sounds a bit distorted and clippy. The parts near and at the end sounded like they had issues, feel free to point out if those were meant to be part of the song. Anyways, rest of the song is pretty good.

Those vocals are smooth as fuck at first, then they go down in quality as they get louder and more distorted, imo. The rest of your instruments don't feel like they're trying to work together as much as support the vocals. The percussion is pretty good, besides that distorted kick imo. :)

Hey man, thanks for the review. Yeah, the vocals were something I sort of played around with for this track. This project I'm working on right now has a lot of vocal distortion, I'm kind of playing with merging a more industrial aesthetic with a more ethereal one. And yeah this track, unlike most of my tracks had more focus on vocals. That wasn't necessarily the plan at first but that's how the mix kinda turned out, for better or worse. Anyways, appreciate the feedback dude :)

Damn, this is giving me quite the "space" vibe.
