Sounds like it could almost be something from Oblivion or Skyrim, up until the "hey"s around halfway. Then it reminds me of Final Fantasy Type-0, especially the gunshot at the end.

Razorrekker responds:

Huh. I've never heard music from either. Cool I supposed, I'm guessing you enjoyed because of the 5-star rating. Thanks!

Good, but I think that the clap (or snare, whichever it is) that starts playing at 30 seconds needs less reverb. Also, I'm pretty sure this is a kind of dance music, not trance, I may be wrong though.

I think this song is much better until the base comes in, probably just my personal taste though.

Razorrekker responds:

Yeah. The volume levels on stuff and the eq'ing and all sorts of things could have been better in my opinion. But, this song is nearly a year old. My skills increase rather quickly, and my newer stuf is better.

5 stars for making me laugh. Few songs make me laugh.

DESHIEL responds:

cool ;)

Listened to this, then the old version, then this again. Would be even better if this version was a tad louder. This version also seems smoother, whereas the old version sounded more... techno-y I want to say? Either way, great job. :P

Noisysundae responds:

Thanks for this, but louder means overcompressed which I don't want it to be, and it's not good for the quality.

Seems like more of a dungeon theme than an underworld theme, IMO. Also, it feels like you overused the guitar a little bit. But by no means a bad piece of music.

Razorrekker responds:

I wouldn't exactly say that there's such thing as overuse on guitar, but ok.

Quite a lovely alternative, although it doesn't loop perfectly. While I'd still use the default Terraria overworld music, since it's a bit more mellow, this isn't bad either.

Razorrekker responds:

Yeah... The second half is quite intense for being the overworld I know.

This song paints two scenes for me. The first one is an underground jailbreak at night. The second is emerging from a cave after a few thousand years into a desolate field that was once full of trees, grass and other flora. It's a dark song, and would be perfectly at-home in a horror game/movie.
Well-done!

larrynachos responds:

That's not quite what I had in mind, but whatever works lol. Thanks for the review!

As someone who played the hell out of super mario galaxy before our wii broke, these are VERY well done. There are quite a few subtle additions, like the 8bit, but it makes it sound like you're playing it on one of the older systems, while retaining the original part beautifully. Would love to hear you remix more songs like this.

Step responds:

I too played a bunch of Super Mario Galaxy. I loved it to bits. One of my favourite Mario games ever.

I am very happy you enjoyed this. I do have a few other similar arrangements up on my Newgrounds profile if you want, including covers of Metal Gear, Metroid, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Monster Hunter, and Okami music, if any of those tickle your fancy.

In any case, thanks for dropping by with the encouraging review :).
