I think this is one of the weirdest songs with quality production that I've listened to.

Onefin responds:

it's not that weird, it's not like i set up the server outside the solar system or anything

This is lovely, but from 3:11 to 4:09 sound slightly muddled due to the sheer number of instruments playing.

zybor responds:

Thank you for your constructive criticism. Cheers

This sounds like an oddball mix of cinematic and jazz to me... very high production indeed.

zybor responds:

Thank you for your review! Cheers!

I really like that guitar at 6:53. I'm unsure if it's actually meant to be the melody or not, but there's this synth I can barely hear the background nearly hiding behind the percussion throughout the track. I won't deny that your percussion programming is good, but it doesn't sound like it varies nearly as much as it could, and the samples it uses sound like they were built around for this track rather than used as a part of it.

zybor responds:

Overwhelming my listeners with shit have never been my style. I make music not noises. Thanks for the review.

It sounds much more classical than your usual style. It does sound pretty, but it doesn't feel like there's any emotion behind it to me except in a few spots, unlike your other pieces.

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

I think what you're reacting to is that it's more rigidly structured than my otherwise quite free pieces! It's more about a collective emotion than an individual one, which also is part of that difference, I think. I was a bit surprised, since a few people seemed to think this sounded a bit like a love song, which certainly isn't the point :p
Thanks for the review!

I really like how everything has it's own volume level, but can still be heard with the other instruments.

Maajjyyn responds:

it take me a while, i'm very obsessive with the mix. Thank's!

I really enjoy how much depth this song has, even though it's only two instruments and two singers.

etherealwinds responds:

Thank you very much! There's just the one singer, I'm singing both the melody and the harmonies ^ ^

The ending felt unsatisfying, but everything else was great. I particularly like how you handled the transitions.

etherealwinds responds:

Sorry you felt that way about the ending! :D I purposefully composed the piece to end on a minor to give that feel of an inconclusive end, as with the lyrical storyline. I'm glad you liked the rest!

I love how your orchestral/dubstep is practically the opposite from Xtrullor's. You use orchestral primarily with dubstep being the subtle effects that make the track feel full.

Geoplex responds:

Hm, I think you're right. Thanks for the thoughts :D

Not a huge fan of the bass, but this is really well done. It's mastered just right so you can hear everything, even if it's not in the foreground of the piece.

larrynachos responds:

What's your issue with the bass? I personally think this is one of the better basses I've made. So full and heavy. I'm glad you liked the rest of it though :)
