That bass drum/kick doesn't feel like it has enough impact when it first comes in, but feels perfectly in-place later, with the other percussion. The melodies feel unrepetitive, since you keep changing something. This is probably one of your best, or your best song yet. :)

AlexMaden responds:

Yea I noticed that the drum wasn't that loud now, but my headset has such a good base so I never realised how it would sound without them. I'm glad you think it's one of my best, because I feel the same. At first I was doubting that people would like it. Really appreciate you <3

Your drums need to be quieter. For the rest of it, you're doing pretty good. Keep it up. :)

AlterdubOfficial2016 responds:

ok thx :)

If you added some wubs, you'd be fine for it to be proper dubstep. You have all the sounds there in your future bass/chillstep remix there that you'd usually hear with dubstep.

DJ-Zyzyx responds:

Okay, thanks for the review man :)

This sounds relatively similar to a few ParagonX9 songs... and the beat is really nice. The melody does feel a bit to repetitive for my tastes, but it's still an excellent song.

PaulyBFromDa303 responds:

Yeah now that its up i can think of ways to improve it lol. That's how it goes. I do appreciate the review. ParagonX9 is a legend. We been around a while

Whatever you're using for the melody lacks depth for most of the song, and your mastering could be better. It also feels like whatever synths or samples your used for the drums lacked much quality. Your tear breaker remake, imo is better than this. You just need to use different samples/synths in your tear breaker remake.

SirHadoken responds:

I appreciate that you took the time to write this out. I agree, it does lack quite a bit of depth, but I don't have Sytrus, nor do I have many presets to work with for the synths and drums. I screwed up my mastering because my headphones are broken; otherwise, it probably would sound better. Plus, I've lost most of my experience over the several months I've gone without making a song. I should really be apologizing for all of my own inconveniences creating the perfect storm to rain above my computer and make my songs the worst quality they possibly could be. I'll try a lot harder with the little I have to make it better in the future. ;)

Better than I expected, but it feels a bit too slow to be considered "madness" imo. Also, you could've done better with the drop.

ReChargeD responds:

I know. Thanks for your review!

This song is great! My only complaint is that it's too short, imo.

Bosa responds:

Put it on loop until I make a longer version!

Sometimes it feels like the singing eclipses the melody, and vice versa. Also, the two voices, in my opinion could be better together. The guitar-playing is on-point, though.

Daveisgr81 responds:

Yeah, I think the guitar came out well and that the voices are bit dodgy... I'm no singer!

Thanks for the review!

At first I didn't like the vocals, but they truly do go with the song. Well-done!

tallestrose responds:

Aw that's awesome! Thanks a lot for your review! :)

I think the percussion could have been mastered slightly quieter. The song really starts becoming calm around 0:37, before that it almost sounds like something you'd hear in a puzzle game. I really like the guitar coming in at 1:01, a lot could be done with it. It gives a very calming vibe, mixed with the other instruments. Also, I heard a key change at 1:25, but it felt like it was going from walking on beach kind of calm to walking into a cave kind of calm. Which makes me think, since you didn't know where to go with this... what if you were to add in some crystalline-sounding bells, or something similar? Anyways, sorry if this is a pain to read. :P

AlexMaden responds:

Of course it´s not a pain to read, I always appreciate your reviews SI-7!
Im glad you find that calm and relaxing vibe as the guitar comes in, since that was really my intention. And thanks for the tip about the bells, I´ll see if I can come up with something! ^-^
